track list

hey so i guess i never thought about announcing it really, but a lot of people have been asking what the track list is for my new album, so here it is:

1. can't have it all
2. half-boyfriend
3. american idol
4. a death waltz
5. at first sight
6. housewife
7. goddamned
8. home
9. bowlegged & starving
10. on all fours
11. string-a-long song

the album, entitled goddamned, was produced by will golden (who produced meiko's album <---if you haven't heard of her, buy the whole album -- it's sooooo good. and i don't like much of anything.)

goddamned will be available worldwide on july 1 (digitally) and july 15 (the actual CD). you can pre-order the thing now by clicking here.

This is going to be the first album I've bought legally in like two years. Also, I hope the RIAA doesn't read your blog.

Jay,

Thanks so much for posting this! I can't wait to hear some of the backing arrangements on the other songs.

Like Ryan, I haven't bought an actual in over a year. In fact, the last CD I purchased was American Doll Posse by the incredible Cherokee Goddess, Tori, but I know this is going to be worth it.

Don't forget to let us know how the album sales too :D

Great news - new songs! As for Ever After Happily, Lower My Gun and Drowning there's still the YouTube videos.

Yay :) Finally a whole album to listen to. I'll buy it on iTunes as soon as it comes out.

Keep up the good work and don't let the production people put too much stuff over your instrument and voice, they do well on their own ;)

Oh, I think I just came a little.
I'm definitely getting this.
I'd preorder if I wasn't moving in 2 weeks.

The only thing that bums me out is the lack of "Drowning."
It's such a powerful song.

Hi.

I bumped with this blog a few days ago.

Liar! is what I am... I saw Shortbus like a few weeks ago and now... well, I kinda love you. In a good way, of course.

I can't help noticing that you've published your album's tracklist (duh!) And -strangely- I feel enormously proud. Of you. You have no idea.

You're awesome, boy. Maybe that's what makes you so ridiculy irresistible. Maybe...

I have already asked for your album to a friend of mine in LA. He'll give it to me in September.

I wasn't kidding about the me-loving-you part. You are, actually, what I've been looking for all this time.

Too bad I'm so far away from you.

Congratulations. You're an amazing songwriter and even better singer. You deserve every good thing that happens to you. I think.

Coke.

Oh, right... I'm not a stalker nor any other shit like that. I just hate to shut up.
